Weeping Silver Birch - Betula Pendula Youngii [standard]
Betula pendula Youngii is a smaller, more weeping alternative to the traditional Silver Birch.
It has a compact dome shaped habit, pendulous graceful branches that will sweep the ground if allowed, making it a spectacular tree for smaller spaces that might not be able to house one of the larger Birch varieties.
Also known as Young’s Weeping Birch, Youngii boasts green serrated leaves that turn a warm yellow when autumn appears. The signature white coloured bark develops, giving this tree a beautiful skeletal form in the winter, when its smooth white bark is showcased at its best.
A tough tree, 'Youngii' will tolerate most soil types and conditions and a height and spread of 4 x 4 metres can be expected.
This weeping birch is grafted at 1.2m or 1.8m.
