The Cercis chinensis Avondale is a deciduous small tree with heart-shaped green leaves and clusters of bright pink pea-flowers opening just prior to or with the leaves.
The lovely green leaves are reasonably large, heart-shaped and tinted red-purple when young.
This tree will do well in full sun or part shade but needs a fertile well drained soil. It will grow up to 4m tall by 2.5m wide.
